Excellent Ultra-portable
Date: November 26, 2009
Pros: Design, Battery Life, Durability, Weight, Features
Cons: Screen Size, Keyboard
I got one of these for my wife who is going back to school to get her masters in accounting. All of her classmates have no end of trouble with their non-Fujitsu laptops constantly. The P8020 is just the right mix of size, speed, and features for a student. My wife really appreciates the lightweight design that still manages to get all of the features she needs into the package. Other ultra-portables have clumsy add-ons for DVD drives or are short of USB ports. The P8020 has it all. I highly recommend this laptop.

This little powerhouse was EXACTLY what I was looking for - full featured yet light and little. It's a bit smaller than a sheet of letter paper and so is the one I grab when on the go, yet is robust enough that I rarely turn to my desktop anymore. A conflict between opening files in Elements and having the wireless on is solved by a simple slide of the switch, but prevented a full 5 star rating.

WHAT A NOTEBOOK - fall in love with it
Date: June 10, 2009
One of my friend recommended fujitsu, although it was expensive but i realy love it. Its my first Fujitsu computer ever. Got appreciation from my co-workers when i opened it during an internal meeting in conference room. 2 persons out of 9 bought P8010 & 8020. Light Portable, one of the many reason i like it coz it is Security Scanner friendly at airport while i am travelling. Other machines r NOT. I am very happy and would love to recommend professionals. I had a WONDERFUL Service Experience with one of Fujitsu Serice Provider at Manhattan.

Highly Recommend
Date: June 2, 2009
Pros: Design, Screen Size, Durability, Weight, Features, Security
Cons: Battery Life
It's light weight and size makes it easy to carry with me at all times. It gives me the best of both worlds, the portability of the small limited function notebooks and the computing power of my desktop.

Almost there !!!!
Date: April 22, 2009
Pros: Design, Battery Life, Screen Size, Durability, Weight, Security
Cons: small hard disk size, no touch screen
The system includes all necessary functionality for mobile working, especially downgrade to Windows XP. Unfortunately the SSH size is small (128 GB), and would be interesting to include an optional touch screen display.

I will be short and simple. I am writing from one of these and the battery is at 18%. I still have 38 minutes left.

Another Winner
Date: April 3, 2009
Pros: Design, Battery Life, Screen Size, Weight, Keyboard, Features
Bought the 8010 (8020 is faster) almost the first day it came out. Another winner. This is the 6th Fujitsu lap top that I have purchased and I can tell you compared to Toshiba (20 machines) and Sony (1 machine) these products are superior. 8010- great screen, great battery life, can't say enough. Light, plastic case is worrisome.

Great little system

Is light and powerful, with GREAT battery life. The fact that such a small and light system can be so full featured blows me away.

Outstanding on-the go little powerhouse
Date: December 27, 2008
Pros: Design, Battery Life, Screen Size, Weight, Keyboard, Features, Security
Cons: Durability
Owned laptops for 15-years. Fujitsu has always set the high-end of performance and versatility. I've also owned Sony's and Toshiba's - and I have been consistently disappointed in their products (in particular Sony - not a fan).
The p8020 computer feels so light when you carry it. It's about the size of a National Geographic magazine square. The touchpad is very nice as it is oversized and gives you more room to maneuver. The keyboard (for me) is perfectly tactile. Although slightly smaller keys, the feedback from the press is perfect.
Another great touch turned out to be the inclusion of the SD slot and PowerDVD software. This allowed me to easiler transfer videos from my SD camcorder and then edit them to produce movies. Windows Movie Maker doesn't support my camcorder format. So this saved me about $100 on additional software.
Three cons. I miss a "magnesium" case. When a laptop is constructed from this I feel "safer". This case is plastic and has quite a bit of flex in the screen. There is very little distortion when the screen is flexed, so it doesn't seem to put the LCD at risk. It seems that Fujitsu opted to save a few ounces with the plastic (which again this thing is LIGHT!). #2, no access to the hard drive - so don't plan on upgrading. #3 No media bay, optical is FIXED.
I'm getting about 5-6 hours of battery life (really nice on the go). Performance is excellent for my apps (Word, Outlook, IE, Excel) and wireless and bluetooth perform as expected.
This is without a doubt a "road-warriors" dream laptop! I'm really happy with it.

Laptop for the Road Warrior
Date: December 18, 2008
Pros: Battery Life, Weight, Features, display brightness
I needed something with a good mix of performance and true portability (read not an HP laptop that weighs 12 pounds), and the Lifebook is it.

Best laptop available
Date: December 18, 2008
Pros: Design, Battery Life, Screen Size, Durability, Weight, Keyboard
This laptop is fantastic. I have had the last three versions of this laptop and Fujitsu keeps improving it. The first one had some problems with the screen hinges after several years of rough use. That was fixed on the last version. Now, the hinges have been moved in a little and are pretty much indestructible. The first and second versions were only 10.6" screens, which is a bit small and about the only complaint I had with the second version. Now, the screen has increased to 12.1" but the size of the machine didn't increase that much. Instead, the screen just got closer to the edges for most of the increase in size, which is great. This laptop has the perfect size for travel, great processing power, plenty of storage #if you go with the 5400rpm hard drive# and a phenomenal battery life. Don't bother looking anywhere else. This is the best laptop available. I'm looking forward to a future version that has a more sizable solid state hard drive.
