T2010, One great buy!
Date:January 27, 2009
Pros: Design, Battery Life, Screen Size, Durability, Weight, Features
Cons: pointing stick, speaker
I have had this computer for just over a year now. I bought it for the weight and the conversion to a tablet when needed. I use it daily at home as a personal computer and a few times a week at work for note taking at meetings and general data management. Contrary to the other reviewer, I have used Vista exclusively after using XP. The digitizer functionality and power saving features are superb with vista compared to XP, and I have not had one single crash in the 10 or so months since I loaded Vista. This computer has become my full time laptop and I have sold the other two that I owned simply because I prefer the T2010. It is light for travel, powerful enough to use multiple applications without so much as a burp. (I did upgrade to 4gb of memory which I'm sure has helped though) The display is bright, the keyboard although not full size is well laid out and the keys have a solid feel. I do not use the stick (never could get used to it) so I can't comment on that. My only wish is that the sound would be improved upon. One speaker is just not enough to get decent sound from and I use a set of portable USB speakers when I travel as I use it to watch movies. The screen size is more than adequate. Overall this is one great computer and I would recommend it to anyone needing tablet functionality, a lightweight travel companion or a portable business unit that can be put in a purse or under your arm when going from meeting to meeting.

I bought a refurb at eBay. The product was mint new. Shipping was fast. The machine had a sleek appearance, very bright and vivid screen, and the digitizer felt very cofortable. I highly recommend this laptop.

Reliable Pentop
Date:December 17, 2008
Pros: Design, Battery Life, Screen Size, Durability, Weight, Keyboard, Features
Cons: sreen accuracy with pen, only sells with vista, lack of a track pad
I purchased this laptop after using a T4215 for a little over 18 months. This unit is much lighter and the batteries seem to last a bit longer. I use this unit daily to take data on job sites for home inspection work and consulting work. I also use the unit for my personal PC. It fits all these roles nicely. The larger and higher resolution screen is very noticeable with working on legal size documents. The lack of an optical drive has not been a problem for me. I can attest that I hate Vista and made the mistake of not downgrading it before starting to use this machine. It cannot be considered a serious operating system for mission critical use. Vista crashes almost daily which is a problem I did not have running XP on 2 previous Fujitsu laptops used in my office. The mouse stick on the keyboard is find but I do prefer the mouse pad that was on the T4215 for long term use. I use a Bluetooth mouse when I need to use it for a long time. The only complaints I have are that I cannot hot-swap batteries in standby mode as on the T4215 and the screens pen accuracy is very poor compared to the T4215 making accurate selection of items on a small form more difficult. I am not sure if this is a common problem or just my unit. It has not been bad enough to take the PC out of service.
