Pros: Weight, Design, Security, Durability, Battery Life, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size, performance, realiability
Facts:
Windows starts in 10 seconds…
My first Fujitsu Notebook
My first tablet computer
My first Windows 7 experience ever
My first SSD experience on performance expectation
Six months of research (oh yes, without having physical feel) and a month of ownership; comfortable timeframe to write multi-thought review on T4310. Bottom line; the reality REALLY mat perception. Simplicity and higher end performance among competition makes it proud to owe this monster though it’s a entry level student or home user tablet. Let’s see what I saw and highly impressed with…
Design and Built: Solid built (rugged) quality since it’s made in and shipped from Japan. It’s not a Netbook without optical drive but is a wise compromise between thickness (size) and performance compared to bulky 15” or 16” laptops (Why wise? Because it carries multipurpose drive for extra battery and storage). However it’s not a bulky though at all.
Keyboard: Full size clean keyboard with reasonable number of assigned Function keys ONLY. Not every key has assigned additional function like other school boy tablet. Looks and feel business class tablet keyboard. 12” mate screen easy to work even in sunlight.
Screen: High resolution matte screen delivered superior experience using Google maps in an out-side daylight. Easy to read and browse nytimes.com in sunlight.
Speakers: I was curious to write review on speaker performance. It was a higher speculation about speaker performance between the time I ordered and writing this review. Definitely you won’t regrate speker performance while enjoying movies/videos/games on your lap even with max volume. For added multimedia pleasure I carry Creative Lab’s pocket USB sound card. Again no room for regrets on speaker performance, only smile…
Processor: Being an advance tech-savy I tested T4310 running multiple apps together like a normal desktop for multitasking and achieved projected results for speed vs. time on performance. Again T series Intel chip are capable of multitasking than P series since P series uses less power. I put 256 GB SSD for extreme faster performance and a clean installation of Windows 7 Professional. It rocks.
Heat and Noise: ONLY normal heat as we expect and extremely silent machine running on SSD.
Touch screen and UI: Here is the deal; I browsed internet on T4310 in tablet mode and on iPad simultaneously to feel UI experience. Mat expectation on Windows based machine compare to competition on touch interface either pen or hand. Similar to iPad and UI experience while web browsing on a tablet mode with extra miles that iPad can’t deliver. Use of pen on office one note was astonishing experience and easy to used to within few hours. What I found? It’s a full featured iPad on your table.
Software: First preconfigured laptop I’ve seen in past seven years with no bloat ware installed. However I was least concerned because I planned to install SSD and vanilla installation of Windows 7 Professional to achieve desktop performance at extra bucks.
Overall T4310 remain a wise choice among other considerations satisfying my performance requirements for day to day usage.
Conclusion: a reality… Windows shuts down in 8 seconds…
No need to say highly recommended before it discontinued…
Thanks for your time.
