great computer with lots of features
Date:August 25, 2011
Pros: Weight, Design, Security, Durability, Battery Life, Features, Keyboard
Cons: Screen Size
I was a bit intimidated by this computer at first. Being a person who that was dragged kicking and
screaming into the computer age, I was able to figure out the new computer, and find it easy to use. Love the keyboard, very user friendly. No complaints about anything so far.

We had to purchase the T730 for one of our children to use at school. I am so impressed by this machine, I am considering buying one for myself. I would definately reccomend a T730.

Medical Office
Pricey But Reliable
Date:July 18, 2011
Cons: capacitive touchscreen
We are a medical office using electronic medical records, and we rely exclusively on the Fujitsu laptops and tablets. They are pricey, but we use them very hard for 8-10 hours a day every day, and they hold up well to the abuse. Battery life isn't usually more than 4-5 hours, but the modular bay batteries can increase that.
One down side: all of our doctors miss the old resistive touch screens (touch input based on pressure; can use any input device) that Fujitsu discontinued in favor of these capacitive touch screens (touch accepted from stylus or finger only).

T730 bought to replace T4215
Date:July 17, 2011
Pros: Weight, Design, Security, Durability, Battery Life, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size
I bought this tablet to replace a T4215 that was getting a little long in the tooth. I did not get the dual digitizer so I'm not sure how well this works with finger gestures but I'm fine using just the pen. (I'm used to it.) The build quality is just what I expected and I expect it to last as well as my 4-year old T4215 has. The T730 has everything I need and I am sure I will enjoy it for years to come.
I have noticed that my tablet attracts attention, and I can't give it enough praise.

another great Fujitsu tablet
Date:July 4, 2011
Pros: Durability, Battery Life, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size
This is my second Fujitsu tablet and my other one is still working well (I fried the recharging capability or wouldn't have even needed a new one). Great value, great product.

Not perfect but close
Date:February 15, 2012
Pros: Weight, Design, Durability, Battery Life, Screen Size, screen, great with linux
Cons: Keyboard, no more rocker buttons!
To be clear, I love this machine. I mostly run it on Linux (Ubuntu using Gnome 3) and it works almost flawlessly. On either OS, the touch screen is very responsive. Compared to my HP Slate 500, this excels in every way. The machine is fast, functional, and a perfect balance of compact yet functional. The keyboard does not feel cramped and I have large hands. The screen is beautiful. I didn't realized how spoiled I was by Fujitsu tablets until I tried using a Dell foe a while. What a difference!
The cons: I miss the rocker button between the mouse buttons that my two previous Fujitsu tablets had. It was one of the handiest add-ons ever. Also, the keys and buttons are noisier/clickier than I'd like. The keyboard on my 4020 was the envy of other users. Not so much with this one. Still, this is a good machine that I relish using. This is the BMW to the Hyundai-like Dell I was using before.

The best of both worlds
Date:November 4, 2011
Pros: Design, Features
Cons: Battery Life
I did a lot of research about tablet pc's before I bought my Fujitsu a couple months ago. The reviews on this one seemed the best for the price and what I intended to use it for. So far, it's treated me really well. If you're comparing this to an iPad, you'll think the it's a toy (although a very refined toy). The advantage of being able to have the capacity of a normal laptop (like using Microsoft Office and other software) puts this far above an iPad or Android tablet.
I'm a college student, so I wanted something that I could take notes on, but also do all my computing. I love being able to use Microsoft OneNote to write, rearrange, and resize notes by hand. If you don't get OneNote, I would say that you're not using this computer to its highest capacity.
At first, the multitouch screen seemed clumsy compared to an iPad. On the other hand, the flick shortcuts offsets the drawbacks. Using the digitizer to go forward and back on a browser, and being able to copy and paste with the flick of the pen (or your finger) simplifies editing documents and navigating pages. I get annoyed when I use an iPad now and the flicks do nothing!
If you need to type a lot in tablet mode, there is a touch-keyboard that pops up, but it's rather cumbersome for typing in anything more than a URL. My experience with the batter life has been less than I expected. I can get a bit less than three hours out of it on most days. So I might buy the modular bay battery.
Overall, I really couldn't ask for anything better right now. I assure you, once you get a tablet-PC, you'll never go back!

As a new grad student I was encouraged to buy a Fujitsu through the university I will be attending. I was a little leery as the price was quite a bit more than a Dell. I decided to purchase the T730 Notebook and LOVE it. I am very happy with the computer and some of the options that it offered. I am still learning new things about it every day. I would recommend this computer to my friends and family.

Third Fujitsu Convertible. Best one yet.
Date:June 17, 2011
Pros: Design, Durability, Battery Life
I have owned a P1610; T2010 and now the T730. This one has the I7 w/ 8gb of ram and is amazing. The dual option touch screen is truly the best of both worlds. The one exception would be when carrying it like a book under your arm. It will keep "touching" the screen. A piece of paper or a folder between your arm and the screen will solve things. I haven't reviewed if there is a button to turn of the touch screen...that would be a great help. I have the modular battery and it seems to be about 7 hours of total battery life..haven't done a great test. Same solid Fuji quality I have come to expect.

Works but has bugs
Date:April 29, 2011
Pros: Design, Durability, Battery Life, Features
Cons: Keyboard, Screen Size
The tablet pc works but there are some functionalities that do not seem to work like the 2 finger gestures. I can zoom in and out but if it is going to have 2 finger recognition then there should be more than gestures. I can't even use two fingers when drawing. 2 finger scrolling would be nice. The 1 finger scrolling only works with in Windows native applications. I use google Chrome and firefox which does not appear to allow for finger scrolling. A mistake on my part was not realizing how small a 12" screen really is. I wish I had gotten the 13". A chicklet keyboard with back-lit LED's would be nice as well. But the native keyboard does work well. The track pad is very responsive but it can not make up its mind of if it is multi-touch or not. If I barely place a finger on the bottom left corner while my other finger is using the mouse it suddenly zooms in and I have yet to figure out the gesture to zoom out. I usually have to use 2 fingers on the screen to zoom out. The swivel screen is cool but gets loose quickly and may turn when closing the lid if not pushing from top center of lid.
The disc drive becoming a battery ingenious! Wish all laptops did this.
The pen is very nice and responsive. My friends and I spend 4 hours playing kid games that are played with pen and paper but since it was on a computer it was fun again. I have had little problem with the pen. The main problem is the alignment of the pen and position on screen. It is subtle but when I take notes I make countless mistakes and need to correct so I usually fix them by writing on top of the previous mistake because my letters are usually fast and incomplete so I complete them but with the pen this is practically impossible because it is hard to get the pen to land exactly on the place I want to fix.
The buttons on the screen and being able to configure them is amazing when in tablet mode. A few more would be nice. I use A and B to scroll and fn with A and B for sound which is very tiresome. 2 more buttons would be nice to use for sound control. Maybe add 4 buttons on the other side of the left side of the screen to make it uniform.

I have T4410- very similar, LOVE IT!!!
Date:March 5, 2011
Pros: Weight, Design, Durability, Battery Life, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size
I love my Fujitsu Lifebook T4410, with pen and touch screen. I am a college student and use my computer constantly. I love having a tablet because I can take math and science notes on my computer. I get compliments on my tablet every day. I previously had a Toshiba tablet and the Fujitsu is by far much better and more durable. I have dropped my computer several times and nothing has broken. It withstands the daily wear of being carried around in a backpack with just a thin case protecting it. I have had this computer for eight months now and have no problems or complaints. I opted for the extra battery, and the battery life will last for at least 8 hours when fully charged. I highly suggest Fujitsu tablets to everyone, especially for students taking a lot of math and science courses.

Everything I wanted
Date:January 26, 2011
Pros: Design, Durability, Features
I've had my T730 for about a week now, and I know I made the right choice.
I was in need of a new computer for sometime. My desktop is quite a few years old. I wanted to get a portable replacement capable of the light gaming (Sims 3) I like as well as my business stuff and artistic hobbies. I draw webcomics for fun, and I previously did all my digital editing with a mouse. I toyed with the thought of a tablet PC, even though I kept hearing there weren't responsive or sensitive enough for artistic uses. However, I wasn't looking so much for an art tablet as a mouse replacement to make things easier.
Anyway, after comparing every model and brand around and having a recommendation from a friend on her Fujitsu (non-tablet) laptop, I picked this one. I paid a little extra to have it customized how I wanted, but I'm sure it would be great as is. I opted for 4 GB RAM and the active digitizer to suit my drawing needs.
I mostly use my computer as a desktop replacement, not a tablet, and it works perfectly for my purposes. It runs fast with no errors. It can run Sims 3 in the highest configuration. The screen is very responsive (it's my first tablet PC, so I have nothing to compare to), and drawing on it is just like pen on paper. It might be a little heavy for a tablet, but the weight and size are great for a laptop.

Lifebook T730
Date:January 22, 2011
Pros: Design, Security, Durability, Features
Cons: touchpad
I purchased a refurbished unit from Fujitsu's eBay store for about 60% of the retail price. T730, dual digitizer, i3, 4GB RAM, W7Pro-32, 160 GB HD. Replaced a Toshiba Tecra M4. Perfect condition, no evidence of wear. Only gripe was a reference to a non-existent network drive that I cannot delete. Must have been a corporate lease machine.
The only con as far as use is concerned is the trackpad - too small and I am still adjusting the touch sensitivity on both the trackpad and screen.
