After using a Lenovo tablet for a while, I finally decided to purchase my own tablet computer. I did the research and got a T900. I got it out of the boxes, charged it, and READ THE USER MANUAL. Note: This is a Windows 7 32 bit OS with
I upgraded to the I7 processor and and 7200 RPM harddrive. I did not get the touch screen.
I did not upgrade the memory, so standard 4 GB.
This system is stunning compared to the old Lenovo. The 13+" screen is perfect, nice and big.
I am using the computer mainly for Onenote and doing mathematics on it, and it is awesome. The writing is instantaneous, lassoing graphics and shrinking, growing, and moving them is instantaneous...Now that's what I'm talking about.
There is no bloatware ON THIS COMPUTER.
If you read the USER GUIDE first, and correctly calibrate the screen and set up the orientation, it is very, very nice to write on. Text recognition isn't too bad, and I love the pressure sensitive pen.
The LED screen is remarkable, and readable in broad daylight. I LOVE using this tablet.
Yes, the orientation does do that wierd thing when you rotate the screen. It appears to be in landscape mode, but shifts over to portait. I just touch the orientation button and it comes back for the rest of the session. I can live with that.
You do have to calibrate some applications if you change orientation, but that is the case with ALL tablets.
Also, I had to set the orientation so that my hand wasn't over the scroll sensor or the function keys on the "bottom" of the screen when in tablet mode. if I orient so these things are at the top, it works perfectly.
It is exactly what I wanted. Totally Paperless math, and it's smooth and easy and fast.
I also love ability to set security codes in the tablet function keys.
Someone complained about the pen. Having to turn the pen to a particular orientation to get it out of the computer is a GOOD thing. The pen is more secure, and I like that. I also added the optional tether, which is very nice.
Good job, Fujitsu!
