I purchased the LIFEBOOK® T900 Tablet PC to replace a 5-1/2 year old Lifebook T4215 Tablet PC. I had very few problems with the old T4215 (fewer than 5 "blue screens of death" in the 5-1/2 years I used it) so I never hesitated in my decision to purchase another Fujitsu tablet.
I love having the larger screen size, without having to sacrifice on tablet weight. I get great battery life (about 5 hours with the Wi-Fi turned off), so I can get well over 8 hours of tablet functionality using 2 batteries alone and can leave the charger at home. I love using the vertical scroll sensor on the tablet screen which makes it easier to scroll through documents when working in tablet mode... Keep up the good work Fujitsu!

A solid Windows Tablet
Date:August 20, 2011
Pros: Design, Security, Durability, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size
Cons: Battery Life, Weight
I purchased this tablet for use in a Medical practice. And so far it has proved to be a good investment. It handles well for the most part. The screen is fairly responsive to touch and pen input. The hinge is very durable so that is a plus. The large screen is the real advantage of this tablet. Most other tablets are significantly smaller. My only beef with this tablet is that its a bit on the heavy side, and the battery life could be a bit better, but other than that its all good !!!

Amazing
Date:June 28, 2011
Pros: Weight, Design, Security, Durability, Battery Life, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size
Cons: high price, small ssd
This laptop is the fastest PC that I own, even faster than my quad core desktop. I did customize it with 8GB Ram and a SSD, which is the main reason, and i do recommend the customization. I truely love it!!! Also, the fingerprint scan is amazing to have. No more typing in user names and passwords, it does all the work for me!!! My only negatives are the speakers are not high end, but good enough. When I watch movies, I use bluetooth headphones anyways. And the battery is good for such a powerful machine, but if you spend all day using it, add a extra battery. I forgot, the largest SSd offered is small, I ended up swapping in my own SSD for more memory. Machine is kinda pricey.

It is very well designed except for when one converts it to the tablet, it orients vertically and not horizontally like using it as a lap top. Takes some time to get use to the orientation.

I've traveled around the world with this laptop... It has performed like no other. Folks look at me working on this on an airline and ask ... What is that thing! I use the touch display like an IPAD, and then flip the screen to type up big memo's etc... It's a total business machine and presentation surprise. Once you adapt to the functions and all its bell and whistles... you really can go crazy. Read the manual, pay attention to the features and how to exploit.

Pros: Design, Security, Durability, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size
Cons: Battery Life, Weight
Have thought about a touch screen for awile but still wanted a lap top. Do like the touch screen and over all proformance. upgraded to the i7, 4gig ram, 7200 rpm HHD, and modular bay battery. Glad I made these choices. With extra battery lots of life to be on the move. The only complaints a little pricey for not having a video card and no USB 3. As I read in other reviews, don't get the filter on the bottom, is a piece of plastic, and 1 orientation in tablet won't stay goes back to default. Don't know why the extras that are offered in the US are not offered in Canada. If this computer lasts as long as my last standard Fujitsu lap top I will be happy.

High hopes for touch + keyboard + computing power
Date:April 10, 2011
Pros: Screen Size, touch screen
Cons: not sturdy, doesn't work well with adobe cs5, touch is behind what tables and smart phones can d
I'd hoped that I'd found a machine that bridged between laptop and a completely touch tablet because I do not care for touch keyboarding. Unfortunately, I don't think this is it. The touch screen is a nice addition, but is behind the touch capabilities that a smart phone or tablet have. It seems that this is due as much (or more) to programing choices as it is about the hardware. A few of the interactions are not the same as what's been successful in other touch devices (pinch and drag, for example) so transitioning from device to device isn't smooth. Others are awkward - or perhaps don't execute well (such as the "flick" to emulate the back and forward buttons of the browser). Writing with the stylus works well. I do like being able to transition back and forth from the table form to traditional laptop form. It's an OK hybrid; not a great one.
In spite of my taking advantage of customizing the build, the machine doesn't perform well with resource intensive programs such as Adobe Creative Suite CS5 and Visio 2007 or 2010. It's load of these programs is slow and it runs out of processing memory surprisingly quickly.
Weight is fine, though a touch heavy considering that I didn't get an optical drive and the case feels flimsy, particularly the part around and behind the screen. The plastic has more "flex" than I'm comfortable with. Lastly, the display has a pronounced ashy/tan tint.

Great First Tablet PC
Date:March 26, 2011
Pros: Weight, Design, Security, Durability, Battery Life, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size
This is a great quality product. When I was looking to purchase a tablet PC Fujitsu seemed to have the most comprehensive quality control testing paired with great manufacturing and test facilities. I have had only minor software related issues such as the screen rotation does not seem to stay in 1 of the 4 tablet screen orientations (however a driver update would likely fix this issue *nudge nudge Fujitsu*) The multi-touch work quite well in application that specifically support it, other wise its a little unreliable. The stylus work perfectly. I found that when in tablet mode I had to disable the 'scroll sensor' because I would continually brush against it while writing notes (right handedly). The keyboard is great, very easy to type on. I really enjoy the swivelling screen, it makes showing content to people who are sitting across from me easy and without having to turn the entire laptop towards them. The screen is also mat reducing glare quite a bit but not eliminating glare issues altogether. As far as bundle software goes there is actually more good then bad; I think I only ended up removing 40% of the bundle software instead of the usual 80-90%. However, by far the best thing about this laptop is the fact that most of the ventilation is on the sides of the laptop and the small amount which is on the underside is right in the centre where your legs naturally create an airway (no over heating) I think by blowing out the vents with compressed air this computer will run silently for a long time to come. Also, the webcam is great, along with the card reader, 3 usb ports, firewire, headphone and mic jacks, ethernet and phone jacks, VGA out, and modular bay for extra batteries DVD-R and more!

Powerful Work Tool- Sound Quality Poor
Date:March 18, 2011
Pros: Weight, Design, Durability, Battery Life, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size
Cons: sound quality
The T900 is the ultimate laptop computer- the Swiss Army Knife of laptops. The touch-screen works beautifully- sensitive and accurate. The color and contrast of the screen are excellent for a tablet PC. My only criticism of the computer is the sound quality.
I know that the T900 was primarily designed for use in electronic medical records and industrial inventory control, but some of us out in the field use it for research and presentations as well. Sound quality should not be an afterthought on a computer of this cost. The sound is tinny at best- more like an AM transister radio from the 60's than a PC from 2011.

Excellent!
Date:March 16, 2011
Pros: Design, Battery Life, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size, quality
I have had 3 previous tablets. One by Toshiba and Two Gateways and this 13.3" Fujitsu is by far the best!!!
It is built very well with many quality features.
I'm in the Real Estate Business and this Tablet makes my job a lot easier! I have my clients sign their contracts and forms right on my Tablet. I am able to work much faster and more efficently!
This is the future!

Almost perfect
Date:February 16, 2011
Pros: Design, Durability, Battery Life, Features, Screen Size

This laptop is almost perfect and runs reliably, but every now and then has an unexpected lag which quickly self-resolves. An HDMI out is to be desired, but otherwise I'm quite content with this laptop.

Amazing convertible, one of kind
Date:February 15, 2011
Pros: Durability, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size, screen quality
Cons: Battery Life, Weight, Design
The only 13 inch convertible laptop i could find. My interest were for note taking and studies for college and sketching and illustrating.
Tested out various convertaibles from
the HPs TMt2, which had a flimsy hinge mechanism and broke with in a weeks time. To Lenovo Thinkpad which had a cheap bluish tinged screen.
Only Toshiba produces a sturdy model with a bright and color accurate screen. Price is at a premium though. But overall was worth it.
Minor problems so far is a few software glitches, mainly a lose of brightness control for some reason if you hibernate or sleep it. Also a little on the heavy side and a battery life thats a little on the side.

Very Happy
Date:February 14, 2011
Pros: Weight, Design, Durability, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size
Cons: Battery Life
I bought this computer after my Dell XPS crashed. I was looking for a tablet as I teach math and this would make online teaching so much easier. I had a similar Fujitsu at my last school. I love it! I have had no problems and I love the keyboard. I have no trouble hitting the right keys! The size is perfect for travelling which I do a lot and the screen is visible while in the car!!! I bought the upgraded RAM memory and the spoeedy processor and it is all working extremely well. I culdn't be happier...I have very little fan noise - not sure what that was about in the previous reviews. I only wish that the battery life was longer - it lasts about 2 1/2 hours now.

Absolutely adore it
Date:January 11, 2011
Pros: Design, Durability, Battery Life, Screen Size, makes you want to hug it because it's so beautiful
Cons: Keyboard
I was debating between the Lenovo tablet and this one. I ended up choosing this one because of the bigger screen. I use it for medical courses and it is especially useful for Histology where I can mark anything I want on the slides. I purchased it mid Oct 2010 and havent had any problems. Some people complained about the loud fan, but I don't have that problem anymore. Not sure what happened between Oct and now, but it was spinning on and off awhile ago. No trace of that now :)!
It is easy to use and such a beautiful piece of equipment. So many people have gone on to purchase this tablet after seeing mine.
Good job Fujitsu!
The only suggestion I would like to make is for them to make the keyboard more quiet in the next upgrade.

Great Laptop!
Date:January 2, 2011
Pros: Design, Battery Life, Features, Keyboard, Screen Size, great support
Cons: Weight, slow standard hdd
Fujitsu did a great job with this laptop... great touch screen, fast and responsive.
PROS: The computer is very fast and the touch screen is very responsive. I love the pen as I use this laptop for school work, including taking notes. Also when dealing with the HDD ( stated blow) I contacted Fujitsu support and so far they have been very helpful :)
CONS: I ordered the computer with the standard HDD which turned out very slow - I recently upgraded to a SSD and now the laptop is lightning fast ( I have the 2.66 GHz i7)
I recommend getting at least a 7200 RPM HDD or SSD.
Over all I am very happy with the machine and I would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent Organizational Tool
Date:December 17, 2010
This machine has provided a giant leap in organizational practices, individual flexibility and speed of communication. I would highly recommend this to any business professional from project managers to CEO’s. Our company purchased 5 of these and all five users have dropped using paper notebooks almost instantly. With very little setup and minor personal configuration, out the box this product is ready to go. The only challenge we ran across was the screen orientation is limited to 3 positions. Luckily, there is a fix that is easy and easy to find online. This will be critical if you have a computer mount in your vehicle. We researched a lot of tablet PC’s and we are extremely glad that we chose this one.

Lifebook- Full featured
Date:December 17, 2010
Pros: Security, Durability, Battery Life, Screen Size
Cons: Keyboard, Weight
The moment i got this laptop it has mostly exceeded my expectations.
The touch screen / pen screen is highly responsive and steals the whole show!
I use this tablet pc for school to write out homework and notes. It is extremely cool/convenient to write over a pdf and be able to organize your written work with onenote by microsoft.
At this time tablets are pretty expensive, but if you can get one, it makes written school work almost fun in comparison to the old paper method.
There are surprisingly only a few annoyances, but here they are:
Obviously the aesthetic design of this computer is lacking somewhat, but has a very practical layout so who cares too much about it looking shiny and slim.
Would be nice if the keyboard had back lit keys.
Would be nice if the tablet screen settings were all in one place.
Would have been nice if the fingerprint security program worked right. - I got a different program (TrueSuite).
Would be nice if the shadow of the pen location wasn't dependent on the angle of holding it... (i think this can be changed, but i don't know how to do that)
So most of these are software issues, which you can get past and fix by just figuring it out.
I got this tablet with the i7, 1GB ram (i upgraded to 8GB by paying for cheaper ram elsewhere, consiar brand), 128GB Solid state, i opted to get the free 500GB ext drive that came as a bonus, so that i could make up for lost space, and glad i did. I also opted to get the atheros wlan chip, since i'm a fan of that for wifi security reasons (i test network security, and it's card is compatible with wifi hacking). Really glad you can custom build this machine.
I would say hardware wise this machine is a great solid build. The monitor part is very sturdy, i can rest my hand on it when it is at an angle above the keyboard and it still stays for the most part so i can write at an angle, which is pretty cool and unexpected.
Software wise, you need to do some tweaking for your liking and figure out where they hid some of the tablet settings. But that's all fixable mostly.
Overall, extremely happy with this laptop, and highly recommend it if u have the cash.
